First Impressions and Transformations

6th graders and 8th graders have finished some beautiful work so far this trimester.  The sixth grade just completed a unit on Surrealism in which they transformed an everyday object into a creature or vehicle.  They then used colored pencils to complete their Surrealist compositions.

Eighth grade finished up their energetic Impressionist paintings in the style of Monet, Renoir and Van Gogh.  Students used visible brush strokes to paint a still life with dramatic light and shadow.
