When Projects Collide!

After several weeks of hard work many classes are completing art lessons simultaneously.  While this explosion of student work makes the FMS hallways look extra bright and fantastically artistic, it does make for a slightly crowded blog post.  There is a lot to look at in this one, so make sure to click on all the links.

Check out the 7th graders’ warm and cool animal paintings which were inspired by and modeled ofter the stylized, geometric work of Maine artist Dahlov Ipcar.

8th graders have been working on two simultaneous projects which finished at the same time and are showcased here: an Andy Warhol (Pop Art) inspired printmaking self-portrait, and the now classic Artist’s Pet.  This class worked very hard and really dove into all the assignments.  The work speaks for itself.

As always, enjoy.
