An Iron, A Shoe, A Shell.

8th graders in Mr. Adams’ class have produced some beautiful drawings of a strange collection of objects.  The students first chose and arranged the objects, then looked only at contour (outline/edges).  Then they began incorporating different drawing techniques such as hatching, stippling and smudging to create a wide range of values.  The challenge of how to zoom and fill the page, as well as careful observation in order to capture texture and overlapping were all key parts of the drawing.  The results of this classic art lesson speak for themselves.
