Fateful Symmetry

The latest work by 8th graders reaches back to the 60s for a new/old style of “selfie”.  After learning about Andy Warhol and the POP-Art movement, students started with a picture on their computer.  They ramped up the contrast, printed the picture, and transferred to a linoleum block plate.

After carefully carving the image they printed multiple colors on different colored paper, trimmed and assembled their prints in the style the famous Pop artist.
