T3 PopArt Self-Portraits

The students in Mr. Adams’ 8th grade art class started with PhotoBooth to create a high contrast image of themselves.  This image was printed and transferred to a linoleum block.  Using blades and gouges, students carefully cut the image out of the block to create a relief printing plate.  This was inked and printed multiple times with different colored inks on different colored paper.  The best of these prints were trimmed and gathered into the 4-quadrant image inspired by the work of 1960’s Pop artist, Andy Warhol.
